To date, The Marine Project located in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, consists of a new main bathroom, three bedrooms that sit atop a newly built extensive garage and additional top storey comprising of a large master bedroom, ensuite, WIR, kitchenette and living area. The outdoor space has also been refreshed with a living and BBQ area, retaining wall with coastal gardens and a newly built pool.

Design challenges were faced along the way, specifically the top storey being too wide, which would have resulted in the large addition imposing on and overwhelming the pool area. This issue was rectified by narrowing the bedroom, ensuite and hallway, thus creating a step in the framework. The living space could then remain the same size as originally designed. A custom kitchenette area that flows into a desk and entertainment/storage unit, was designed to fit within the new parameters of the wall, giving the addition further form and functionality.

The spaces completed thus far utilise custom joinery and quality materials rich in natural beauty, combined with carefully curated furniture and accessories.
